Alexandria, Virginia Real Estate: What Documents Does A Bank Ask for To Do A Short Sale?

In most cases, it’s gonna be different from bank to bank or lender to lender.

Yet, in general, what’s the bank going to look for:

  • Two months of bank statements

  • Two years of tax returns

  • A hardship letter

  • Also… A financial worksheet

Each bank has a different packet and you must understand which packet they are actually looking for.

The easiest and best way to do it, they do change things throughout the process is to find somebody that is qualified, to be able to guide you through the entire process.

And… you don’t want to hire an agent that doesn’t have a lot of experience in selling short sales
