Why would you stage?
I have sellers that come to me say, "Dan, that's stupid - like we're just wasting our money to stage!"
Are there advantages of staging your home for sale?
Logically, yes. People can't see past what's in the house and see that this could be a charming house.
Want to know the advantages of staging your home for a home sale? Please watch this video I have prepared for you.
Why Stage Your Home For Sale?
#1 Logic makes you think, and emotion makes you act.
You see, what we want to do is we want to have an emotional appeal to your home so that when a husband or a wife comes by that, they feel as though if that could be their home."
#2 Have it as decluttered as possible.
Less is more when you're staging a home.
We want to take all the personal items off the wall, maybe even religious items. We want them to envision their family in that home instead of yours.
The only exception is that I would be like some military gear like a flag or that type of stuff.
Everybody, or at least they should appreciate military stuff - many people do.
#3 Visit a model home for one of the new home builders.
You'll get an idea of the best way that you could showcase your home.
