WHY WINTERTIME IS A GREAT TIME TO SELL

Winter isn’t a dead season for real estate, and there are a few reasons why.

There’s no reason to wait until spring to sell your home. Winter is a great time to put your home on the market, and here’s why.

Supply is at its lowest point in the winter. Though there are fewer buyers in the winter, their numbers far outweigh the number of homes for sale. This means there’s still a great amount of demand, even with fewer buyers altogether. It also means you have less competition when it comes to fellow home sellers.

Because there are fewer people in the marketplace, things are going to happen a lot quicker when it comes to real estate services. For example, contractors, movers, and other companies aren’t as busy in winter, so you won’t have to worry about fighting for their time.

Though there are fewer buyers in the winter, their numbers far outweigh the number of homes for sale.

Lenders aren’t backed up, either. They can process things much more quickly—homes sell about 25% to 30% quicker in winter compared to in summer.

If you’re ready to get your home listed now or in the spring, have any questions, or need further information, feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
